A: No, our team is a developmental program with coaches always working to improve confidence and stroke proficiency.

Q: Where do we purchase team suits?
A: We recommend purchasing a team suit from us. We will be ordering our suits from Elsmore Swim Shop. There is a tab on the website directing you to order.

A: We usually schedule 6-8 dual meets throughout the season against the 4 other teams in our conference. We also have a final conference meet that includes all 5 teams.
Q: What teams do we swim against?
A: Chapel Glen Pool Sharks are members of the Community Swim Conference, swimming against 4 other teams from the surrounding Indianapolis Area. You can find the teams and get directions to each of the pools by selecting the "Pool Locations" tab on our page.
Q: Are we required to attend all meets?
A: No, however in order to swim in the final conference meet, swimmers must compete in at least 1 regular season meet. Also, in the interest of improvement and swimmer experience, it's best to attend as many as possible.
Q: What are the days and times of meets?
A: Meets will be held on Tues. and Thurs. with a usual start time of 6:00 pm. Swimmers will need to arrive about 30 minutes before meet start time for away meets, and an hour before home meets. As the host team, we begin team warm-ups at 5:00.

Q: Do we get to choose what events our kids swim?
A: No, however, our coaches make sure that all swimmers have a chance to swim all strokes during the course of the season. Normally, each swimmer gets to participate in 2-3 individual events and possibly one relay during each meet.
Q: How do I know what events our kids swim?
A: The coaches post sheets at our swimmer's camp, and they are arranged by age group. Please refer to these sheets instead of asking the coaches since they will be involved with warm-ups and getting the swimmers ready for the meet.
Q: Is there a mandatory volunteer commitment?
A: Yes, each swim team family is asked to volunteer at least once during the season. A volunteer position includes working at the meet or in concessions, or coordinating a team party.
Q: How do we sign up to volunteer?
A: Volunteer sign-ups are done through the registration section on our website. There are a variety of easy jobs to choose from. Volunteers should check in with the swim team parent coordinator upon arriving at the meet. You should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet. Most teams provide beverages to the meet volunteers.
Q: What is FUN FRIDAY?
A: At every Friday practice, the coaches play fun games with the swim team and swim lessons swimmers. After practice, the swimmers are given a fun snack to eat in the pool snack area.
